Organizations, workspaces and roles
Invite your team, give each client a workspace, and decide who can change what.
Organizations, workspaces and projects
- An organization is who pays. It has the plan, and its prompt limit is shared by all its workspaces. You get a personal organization when you sign up.
- A workspace is where people work together. It has members, projects, notification channels, a logo, API keys and connected apps. Agencies usually make one workspace per client.
- A project is one brand inside a workspace. See Projects.
A paying organization can have up to 20 workspaces; during the trial it has 1. One person can own up to 3 organizations. Only the personal organization gets a trial; a new organization starts working when it has a plan.
Workspace roles
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Viewer | See everything in the workspace, change nothing. |
| Member | Work with projects, prompts, competitors, alert rules, reports and share links. |
| Admin | Also manage members, notification channels, the logo, API keys and the digest. |
| Owner | Also hand the workspace to someone else. Exactly one per workspace. |
Organization roles
An organization has an owner and can have admins. They manage the plan and billing, see every workspace of the organization with its share of the prompt limit, and create new workspaces in it.
Inviting people
Admins invite people by email from the Members page and choose their role. The invitation link signs the person in or up and adds them to the workspace. A workspace can send up to 20 invitations a day. Seats are unlimited on every plan.
Removing people and leaving
Admins can change roles and remove members. Anyone except the owner can leave a workspace. When someone leaves or is removed, their email alert channels in that workspace are removed too, and API keys they created stop working.
For agencies
Put each client in its own workspace and invite the client's people as viewers, or send them a share link with your logo instead of an account. See Reports, exports and share links.
